Anticipation is building as we herald the birth of our Lord! It’s kind of a funny thing. We recognize that Christ has already come, but we look at our world and still see that we need him to come. We live in what theologians call the “already-not-yet.” This season reminds us that we are in this place, and it is a hopeful place. Because He has come into our world, we can participate as He heals and restores!A few ways that we are participating in this over the next week.- Please bring your Gabriel Project gifts THIS SATURDAY! If you will not be there, contact either me or Josiah: josiah.fehlauer@saturdaynightcommunity.org- Tomorrow night, we will be discussing “serve all”. How are we to participate in God’s beautiful restoration?- Our SNCC Christmas EP is available on our website: www.saturdaynightcommunity.org! Thanks for your hard work!- We will be co-hosting a Christmas Eve worship gathering at 11pm, 12.24.08 for those who will be around. We are joining with three other communities (Eikon, Rivendell, Agora, SNCC). Our very own band will be leading the music and Jeff Taylor (Agora’s pastor) will be sharing a short homily. The gathering will end at midnight. If we don’t see you, have an AMAZING Christmas and New Year. It is really cool to be part of this community with all of you!Peace Be With You,Preston SharpeLead PastorSATURDAY NIGHT Community Church
